About Us

Basmat Hayat Foundation is a voluntary, non-profit civil organization officially established by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, Taiz Office, with registration number (23 | 2015), led by a group of women with special needs (disabled, marginalized, displaced, abused, rural women). The foundation has implemented numerous projects and workshops in the fields of development, peacebuilding, security, training and rehabilitation, protection, food, health, economic empowerment, and education. The organization primarily works to integrate people with special needs into society by developing their capabilities and skills and enhancing their participation in achieving peace and sustainable development goals, in partnership with local and international donors. Our Message

Enhancing knowledge, developing creative skills, and economic empowerment for people with special needs and women with disabilities, achieving their full inclusion in society through capacity building and adopting a matrix of projects and training programs to contribute to peacebuilding and sustainable development. Raising awareness of the rights and duties system for people with special needs, especially women with disabilities, in Yemeni society under the applicable national laws. Particularly as people with disabilities represent a large number in Taiz governorate and need care and attention at all levels: health, psychological, social, economic, and cultural.

Our Vision

Working to achieve the active participation of people with special needs in the process of peacebuilding and development, achieving comprehensive societal advancement and development, especially in the context of war, which has greatly affected people with special needs.
